INTERSEX
PROGRAMME
The intersex Programme works at national, community and international levels to advocate for and advance the health, rights and recognition of intersex persons in the country.
With a milestone in recognition through efforts of the intersex task force in the 2010 general elections, the Programme has been key in implementing priority strategies for the recognition and advancement of rights for intersex persons in health, education and within various aspects of society.
By leaving no child behind, there are conceited efforts to liberate intersex children and persons in Kenya.
TRANSGENDER
PROGRAMME
The transgender Programme operates at various levels, including international, national, sub-national, regional, and community levels.
At the international and national levels, the Programme focuses on advocacy, policy engagement, and research, while at the community level, it prioritizes service-based approaches to address economic well-being, capacity building, security response, legal aid, psychosocial support, and education.
The primary goal of the Programme is to enhance the integration and functioning of transgender individuals within mainstream society, enabling them to achieve and sustain a globally accepted standard of living.
GENDER NON-CONFORMING
PROGRAMME
The Gender Non-Conforming (GNC) Programme was established in 2020 to support individuals above the age of 18 who identify as gender non-conforming or nonbinary.
These individuals deviate from the societal expectations associated with their assigned sex, with regard to their gender identity, role, and expression.
The Programme offers tailored advocacy, activities, and interventions to address the distinct needs and difficulties faced by this community, as they navigate a gender system that is predominantly binary and characterized by rigid gender norms within society.

ADVOCACY
Our Intersex, Transgender & Gender Non-conforming (I.T.GNC) led Gender Advocacy Campaigns serves to advocate for the fundamental needs of ITGNC persons at various levels of our society.
RESEARCH & POLICY
We engage in and conduct community led research projects such as the National Transgender Discrimination Survey (NTDS) and the Legal & Gender Recognition Study. The research we do helps steer our work to meet an ever-evolving global landscape of opportunities and solutions to realize our goals.
SUPPORT PROGRAMMES
Psychosocial support being an integral part of the community, is an avenue to provide counselling, therapy, support groups coupled by capacity building initiatives that are specific to Intersex, Transgender & Non-binary persons.
MULTI-STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENTS
We solidify collaborations with different stakeholders who are critical to realizing our long term strategies. These include among a few the Intersex Person's Implementation Coordination Committee (IPICC), the Ministry of Health (M.O.H), the Kenya Police Service and private sector actors.
